the scule category

The summer classes were relatively interesting and very easy A's (no term papers). Quick and painless, it was only the first half of the summer, and the second half was just work, mainly.
This semester, I have three Acoustics classes that are taxing my brain, plus one sound system design class which is not that hard since I have worked in that field, but the homework is tedious and the teacher is softspoken and mildly annoying, which is made worse by the fact that it's always hot in there! Luckily I don't sit by the kid who stinks. And the girl in the dorm across the alley from the classroom who used to take off her clothes and show off (on purpose!!) is not living there anymore :( so I never got to see her show. Had to pay 31.50 for vellum drafting paper -bite me- and the little graph squares are the wrong size, but I can't take it back now, and I'd rather just deal than buy more.
The amount of technical reading for acoustics has tripled this semester, but most of the class material isn't that hard. A little dull perhaps, to the non-techie types, so I won't go into it that much; suffice it to say that if I ace these classes I will undoubtedly slip a vertebra from the effort of holding up my overloaded cranium. Learning everything from simple harmonic motion to advanced statics and dynamics (as applies to physics of vibrations) to design of large scale HVAC units for big buildings, plus, I'll get my hands on some kick-ass high-dollar scientific measurement gear. I'm a geek again! (grinz)

Anyhow, coming soon, perhaps I'll do a social life category and we'll see what I can recall from the summertime and my birthday and whatnot, but honestly there's a lot of dead brain cells there to conjure...among the more disturbing: Pirates of the Carribean Opening Night! (no one bothered to tell me they pulled a Back to the Future - I got blindsided by the "to be continued" ending. ARRRRgh. I should have known disneycorp wouldn't let a gold mine like this go away. (I'm fairly sure some corporate shit right now is planning the abduction and enslavement of JK Rowling to force her to document Harry Potter's rise to world domination until he is at least 30 and has a lil' warlock of his own))

Also rather worrysome: I have committed myself to going to Disneywhirled in late October...shoot me now, before I drink my way around the small world...Thats right, they have bars and restaurants for the grownups, who (I presume) let their kids get worn out during the day and lock them in their hotel suites at night -??) Including night clubs where real bands play (bands I might have heard of, allegedly, not just "High School Musical" crap). I can't tell you any more about it because I cannot bring myself to google disney. Please direct your pity and/or scorn to the comments...

No worries!! I tried to forget it myself, but Mom insists! It's not like I have the ability to remember anyone else's b-day. I don't remind people when it's coming up because then they wonder how old I am...
(Heck, when I was yer age, they came out with this new thing called "talkies"...)
